2019 Communications Competition
The Competition, co-organised by the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Communications Industry Development Project Office, IDB, MOEA, has been known as the "Communications Oscar" and has so far been held 18 times. More than 9,000 communications heroes have been trained.
2019 Communications Competition - Awards Ceremony and Innovation Exhibition was held on Thursday, December 5th, 2019 in the 4B Hall of Huashan 1914 Creative Park. Competition themes for this year included the Connections for Next - Future Challenge for Internet of Things (IoT) and the 5G and IoT Antenna and System Innovation Design Competition. A total of 206 teams and 596 heroes competed for rewards and crown worth more than NT$ 2 million.
The biggest feature of the competition is that all competition rewards were sponsored by enterprises; 23 enterprises sponsored this year. Representatives of the enterprises not only made out questions and served as judges, but also gave teams a great deal of guidance in the course of the competition, which benefited teams a lot. In addition, winning teams could obtain resources sponsored by the enterprises, including marketing promotion and job vacancies. On the day of the event, all the winning teams set up booths on the site to exhibit synchronously, allowing visitors to experience a variety of innovative IoT applications and witness the achievements of the talent cultivation of the Communications Competition.
